Below you will find instructions guiding you through the step by step process of setting up your Real Producer Software.

These instructions are for Clients that are setting up their Archived Content for the first time. Please take your time and follow through each step to get started. If you have any problems or issues please give us a call and we will be glad to help.

To encode your Real Media content for our streaming media servers you must first install an encoding program that is able to encode your media in a Real streaming format. Real Producer can be downloaded here: http://www.realnetworks.com/products/producer/index.html


Once you have Real Media Encoder installed, open it up and select your input device or file you wish to encode from. If you have a file on your computer that you wish to encode, select "Input file:" and then select "browse" in the lower left section of the program


If you wish to encode your archive content from an attached device, select "Devices" and then select your Audio and/or Video devices.


Once you have your input selected, double click on the file name listed under "Destination" to set what you want to name your file as, and where you wish to save your file. Once you are finished, click "save".


Click on the "Audiences" button in the right section of the program.


Select the bitrates you wish your file to be encoded at, and close that window.


Click on the "Encode" button in the lower right corner of the program.
